Beaded Heart Embossed Card with Metallic Paper

Make a textured card using the Frantic Floral 3D embossing folder with beaded heart details. This project uses metallic or brushed paper to create a sophisticated, dimensional effect that resembles hammered metal.

Step by step

1. Add score lines to a five by seven card blank. ▶ watch 52:45
2. Place metallic or textured cardstock into the embossing folder. ▶ watch 53:00
3. Run the folder through your die-cutting machine to emboss the beaded heart design. ▶ watch 53:15
4. Remove the embossed cardstock and examine the raised beads on both sides. ▶ watch 53:30
5. Cut a piece of pink or coloured cardstock to layer behind the embossed panel. ▶ watch 54:00
6. Stamp gnome designs onto the card, using only the centre gnome or selected gnomes. ▶ watch 54:15
7. Add a ribbon bow or embellishment to tie the design together at the centre. ▶ watch 54:30
8. Stamp a sentiment such as 'Be Kind No Matter What' onto the card. ▶ watch 55:00

Tips from the show

• Using metallic or brushed paper with embossing folders creates a sophisticated, dimensional effect.
• You can use embossing folders on coloured cardstock as well as white for different visual effects.
