Ribbon-Wrapped Gift Box with Bow

A decorative finishing technique for the gift box using ribbon wrapped horizontally and vertically, tied with a bow at the centre. The holographic card base is complemented by coordinating ribbon to create a present-like appearance.

Step by step

1. Cut two lengths of ribbon. ▶ watch 24:00
2. Glue or tape the first ribbon horizontally across the front of the box. ▶ watch 24:30
3. Ensure the ribbon is straight and sits evenly across the box. ▶ watch 24:45
4. Glue or tape the second ribbon vertically down the centre of the box, crossing over the first ribbon. ▶ watch 25:00
5. Tie a bow at the centre where the ribbons cross. ▶ watch 25:30
6. Adjust the bow to your desired fullness and tightness. ▶ watch 26:00

Tips from the show

• Use red-liner tape or glue for permanent attachment, as tape pen alone may not hold well on boxes that will be handled.
• You can create a double bow for a more extravagant look if desired.
