3D Decoupage House Card

A layered card featuring a three-dimensional house created by stamping the same design multiple times, fussy cutting elements, and stacking them with handmade foam pads. The twisted and elevated elements create depth and visual interest.

Step by step

1. Stamp the house design three times onto card stock. ▶ watch 32:15
2. From the stamped sheets, fussy cut away selected leaves and design elements to create layered pieces. ▶ watch 33:45
3. Collect small offcuts of card and glue them together to create a homemade foam pad for dimension. ▶ watch 34:00
4. Glue the first fussy-cut layer to the back of the handmade pad. ▶ watch 34:30
5. Glue the padded layer onto your card base to create the first level of 3D effect. ▶ watch 35:00
6. Stamp and fussy cut additional elements from a fourth stamped sheet. ▶ watch 35:30
7. Gently twist the edges of these smaller elements upward to add dimension. ▶ watch 36:00
8. Glue the twisted elements on top of the first layer to complete the decoupage effect. ▶ watch 36:15

Tips from the show

• Use offcuts from your card scraps to make foam pads—they do not need to be neat as nobody sees behind.
• Twist the edges of the top layer elements slightly to create additional dimension and visual interest.
• You can colour, sparkle or embellish the 3D house further if desired.
