Create an interactive scratch-off holiday travel card featuring geometric triangle patterns and hidden messages. This project combines the trendy triangles cover plate die with festive travel-themed stamps to create a surprise reveal card perfect for announcements or party invitations. The design showcases modern geometric patterns with colourful backgrounds and uses special scratch-off stickers to conceal your message until revealed.

Step by step

1. 

   Stamp the passport design from the holiday travel set onto white card stock using black ink. Position the stamp clearly on the card and press firmly to ensure a crisp impression.

   Using the arrow stamps from the set, stamp arrows pointing in your chosen direction onto the passport design to indicate movement or direction. Position them near the 'scratch here' area.

3. Position the trendy triangles cover plate on its side at an angle to create a dynamic diagonal design rather than an upright triangular pattern. This creates a flash or movement effect across the card front. ▶ watch 20:30
4. 

   Stamp the reveal sentiment onto the white waist area of your card base using the triangular stamp positioned upright.

5. 

   Position the coloured card stock (with the triangular die-cut pattern) over the white card blank, aligning it to show the white base through the cut-out triangles and create depth.

6. 

   Position a scratch sticker over your stamped message, ensuring it is straight and covers the area you want to conceal.

   Use a coin to gently scratch away the protective layer over the suitcase to reveal your hidden message underneath.

Tips from the show

• The protective plastic layer on the stickers prevents damage to stamped or written messages underneath, even with firm scratching.
• You can write your own personalised message under the sticker instead of using pre-stamped sentiments.
• The stickers can be used on photographs or other surfaces for creative reveals.
