Lamination Dress Card with Watercolour Spray

Make an elegant card featuring a lady in a dress using lamination stamps and watercolour spray technique. The solid portion of the stamp is inked in colour and sprayed with water, then the detail layer adds the fine lines of the dress and accessories.

You will need

Step by step

1. Ink up the solid portion of the lamination stamp in your chosen colours—try a gradient from green through teal and purple to pink. ▶ watch 29:00
2. Stamp the inked solid portion onto your card base and allow it to dry. ▶ watch 29:15
3. Spray the stamped area lightly with water to create a watercolour effect and blend the colours. ▶ watch 29:30
4. Align the detail stamp layer over the dried coloured base, using the guide on the back of the packet to position it correctly. ▶ watch 30:00
5. Stamp the detail layer in black or dark ink to add the fine lines of the dress, hat and accessories. ▶ watch 30:15
6. Add a sentiment or leave the artwork as the focal point of your card. ▶ watch 31:00

Tips from the show

• The back of the packet has a positioning guide showing where the detail layer aligns with the coloured base.
• You can use different colour combinations to create different dress styles and moods.
