Enhance your gift card wallet with a decorative wax seal in coordinating colours. This adds an elegant, professional finish to your handmade gift giving.

Step by step

1. Light your wax seal candle and allow the wax to melt completely. ▶ watch 33:15
2. Select your wax colours - you can use a single colour or mix two or more for a blended effect. ▶ watch 34:00
3. Hold the wax stick over the candle flame to melt it, allowing the melted wax to drip onto your gift wallet or envelope. ▶ watch 34:15
4. Pour the melted wax into a small blob on your chosen location, taking your time and not rushing. ▶ watch 37:45
5. Select your wax seal stamp head and push it firmly into the warm wax blob. ▶ watch 38:00
6. Hold the stamp in place for a second or two, then gently lift it away to reveal the seal impression. ▶ watch 38:15
7. Optional: add gilding flakes, sparkle or dried flowers to the warm wax before it sets for extra embellishment. ▶ watch 38:45
8. Allow the wax seal to cool and harden completely before handling or posting. ▶ watch 39:00

Tips from the show

• Don't rush - the wax stays warm long enough for you to work carefully and get a perfect impression.
• Keep your fingers away from the metal stamp head to avoid burns.
• Blow out your candle before moving away to avoid fire hazards.
