Pop-Up Gift Card Wallet

Create a beautiful pop-up gift card holder that stands proud when opened, perfect for giving vouchers or gift cards at Christmas. The card features decorative patterned paper on both sides and a central pop-up mechanism that holds the gift card securely.

Step by step

1. Select your patterned paper from the collection, choosing a design you like. ▶ watch 25:00
2. Position the large die on your chosen patterned paper, ensuring it is aligned correctly. ▶ watch 26:30
3. Tape the die down securely to prevent it from moving during cutting. ▶ watch 26:45
4. Run the die and paper through your cutting machine to cut out the wallet shape. ▶ watch 26:50
5. Fold the cut piece along all the score lines to create the rise and fall element of the pop-up. ▶ watch 31:00
6. Apply glue down the sides of the folded piece to secure the structure. ▶ watch 31:45
7. Insert your gift card into the central pocket where it will stand proud when the card is opened. ▶ watch 32:30
8. Optional: seal the wallet closed with a wax seal for an elegant finishing touch. ▶ watch 33:00

Tips from the show

• You can use this die with any patterned papers you have at home, not just the coordinating papers included in the set.
• The score lines pop automatically when you run the die through the machine, making folding easy.
• You can stick three wallets together on the inside of a card blank to create multiple gift pockets on one card.
