Inked Embossing Folder with Watercolour Wash Card

Create an artistic card by inking both sides of an embossing folder with pink ink, spraying with water, and pressing white card stock into it. The result is an abstract, watercolour-like effect with dimensional texture.

Step by step

1. Trim your white card stock to fit inside the embossing folder. ▶ watch 43:15
2. Swipe pink ink across both sides of the embossing folder to ensure full coverage. ▶ watch 43:30
3. Lightly spray water onto the inked embossing folder to create a watercolour effect. ▶ watch 43:45
4. Place your white card stock into the inked folder and run through your die-cutting machine. ▶ watch 44:00
5. Remove the card and allow it to dry, observing the abstract, watercolour-like finish with dimensional texture. ▶ watch 44:15

Tips from the show

• Ink both sides of the embossing folder to avoid mistakes and ensure you get the desired effect.
• Make three versions in different colours rather than just one, allowing them to dry before deciding which to use.
• If the result is not perfect, remember you have a bin—it is just paper.
