Embossed Pear Card with Gold Wax Finish

Create a luxurious textured card by running an embossing folder through black card stock and adding gold wax to highlight the dimensional details. This produces a shop-bought quality card with beautiful depth and sparkle.

Step by step

1. Create a sandwich with your black card stock between the embossing folder plates, ensuring the raised part of the folder is at the back. ▶ watch 38:30
2. Run the sandwich through your die-cutting machine to emboss the design into the card. ▶ watch 38:45
3. Rub gold wax onto the embossed surface, covering most of it generously. ▶ watch 39:00
4. Use your thumb or finger to rub the wax into the embossed details, working it into the raised and recessed areas. ▶ watch 39:15
5. Tilt the card to view the effect and see how the gold wax highlights the dimensional details of the pears and leaves. ▶ watch 39:30

• Test embossing folders on black card first to check definition quality.
• Don't be afraid to get messy fingers when applying wax for the best results.
