Simple Mounted Bird Christmas Card

A clean and simple Christmas card featuring a pre-printed mounted bird image with greenery accents. This card uses the Holly and Berry collection's ready-to-use mounts for quick card-making with minimal layering.

Step by step

1. Select a 5x7 white card blank as your base. ▶ watch 36:45
2. Choose one of the pre-printed Holly and Berry mounts featuring a bird design. ▶ watch 37:00
3. Edge the mount with a black ink pad by tilting the pad and tapping along the edges to make it stand proud from the card. ▶ watch 37:15
4. Adhere the mounted bird image to the centre of your card blank using glue or tape. ▶ watch 38:00
5. Die-cut green foliage pieces from the Holly and Berry die sets using your cutting machine. ▶ watch 38:30
6. Arrange and glue the green foliage around the bird mount to frame the focal point. ▶ watch 39:00
7. Optional: add small red gems or sequins to the foliage or bird for extra sparkle. ▶ watch 39:30
8. Allow glue to dry completely before displaying your finished card. ▶ watch 40:00

Tips from the show

• You don't have to use lots of layers and matts; a single black edge can make the image stand proud without additional weight.
• The green foliage is snippable, so you can cut individual leaves shorter or use just one leaf as an accent if preferred.
