Embossed Fairy on Patterned Paper with White Ink

This technique layers an embossed fairy design onto patterned paper from the collection, then highlights it with white ink. The pattern creates a magical forest or bubble effect around the fairy, making her appear to float within a whimsical scene.

Step by step

1. Select a patterned paper from the Misty Holo collection that has a plain or subtle background. ▶ watch 30:30
2. Place the patterned paper into the embossing folder with the raised side facing up. ▶ watch 30:45
3. Run the paper through your embossing machine to create the raised design. ▶ watch 31:00
4. Remove the embossed paper from the folder. ▶ watch 31:15
5. Tap a white ink pad onto the embossed design to bring the fairy forward and make her stand out against the patterned background. ▶ watch 31:30
6. Focus the white ink on the fairy's face, body, and wings to create contrast with the pattern. ▶ watch 31:45
7. Allow the ink to dry completely. ▶ watch 32:00

Tips from the show
