A project from our live show CATCH UP on Fridays Launch WOW LETS CREATE broadcast from the HTCN studio 15th Oct 21 · 10/15/2021
Design a charming reindeer card with a stamped farm animal and interchangeable antler options. Use oxide inks in two shades of green to add dimension and shadow to the antlers, then layer everything onto a grey card base with vellum, sequins and sparkle for a festive winter scene.
Stamp the farm animal (reindeer) onto white cardstock using smoky grey ink.
Stamp the antlers onto the same cardstock, positioning them above the animal's head.
Apply crushed olive oxide ink to the antlers, tapping it into the design with a sponge or applicator.
Layer lucky clover (darker green) oxide ink over the corners and edges of the antlers to create shadow and dimension.
Die-cut the antler design using a coordinating die, choosing between the plain antlers or the version with lights and leaf design.
Adhere the embossed vellum with peacock design to the front of a grey top-folding card base using glue.
Apply glue along the edges of the card (not the base) to prepare for adding sparkle.
Sprinkle crushed ice glitter onto the glued edges, tapping it on gently and allowing it to dry.
Add sequins around the card design to create the effect of falling snow.
Adhere the coloured reindeer and antler die-cut to the front of the card.
Add a sentiment stamp such as 'Merry Christmas' to complete the card.
