Combine stencil work with pigment ink to create a vibrant, layered background. This technique shows how to use stencils as both positive and negative elements to build complex, colourful designs on your journal pages.

Step by step

1. Stamp a heart design onto your page using pigment ink as your base element. ▶ watch 29:45
2. Select the rainbow hills stencil and position it around your stamped heart. ▶ watch 30:00
3. Apply blue pigment ink through the stencil using a small ink pad, working around the heart. ▶ watch 30:15
4. Remove the stencil and observe how the stencilled design frames and complements your stamped element. ▶ watch 30:30
