Gift Card Wallet with Die-Cut Score Lines

Create a professional-looking gift card envelope using a die that cuts score lines and decorative edges. The die does all the measuring for you, adding stitch detail, wave edges, and a half-moon crescent pocket to hold gift cards, salon vouchers, or small treats.

Step by step

1. Tear out a sheet from the patterned paper collection (floral or animal print). ▶ watch 4:30
2. Place the paper into your die-cutting machine with the die that includes score lines and decorative elements. ▶ watch 5:00
3. Run the paper through the machine to cut the gift card shape with all score lines and wave edges in one pass. ▶ watch 5:15
4. Fold the card along the pre-scored lines to create the wallet shape. ▶ watch 18:30
5. Apply a line of glue along the base of the card. ▶ watch 18:45
6. Turn the card over and fold it closed to seal the envelope. ▶ watch 19:00
7. Insert your gift card, voucher, or small gift into the half-moon pocket at the front. ▶ watch 19:15

Tips from the show

• The die works with A5 machines and can be adapted for A4 machines by rotating the plates.
• You can choose to have the 'to and from' text on the inside or outside of the card by flipping the paper before folding.
• The uncoated cardstock means you can add inky techniques, watercolour, or other embellishments to personalise each card.
