Dot and Dash Frame Border Card

A card featuring decorative dot and dash frame borders that can be positioned around your focal image. The frames create an elegant border effect and can be stamped multiple times to frame your design.

Step by step

1. Stamp your focal image (such as buttercups) in the centre of your card. ▶ watch 44:30
2. Position the dot and dash frame stamp where you want the border to begin. ▶ watch 45:00
3. Ink the frame stamp and stamp it down one side of your focal image. ▶ watch 45:15
4. Continue stamping the frame design down the full length of the card to create a border. ▶ watch 45:45
5. Stamp the frame in black ink for definition. ▶ watch 46:15
6. Add a sentiment or additional design elements in the remaining space. ▶ watch 46:45

Tips from the show

• Don't be precious if the frame design goes slightly into your focal image—it's part of the creativity.
• You can reposition the frame stamp in your stamp platform to create more organic, varied borders.
• The frames work equally well in landscape or portrait orientation.
