Wish Die-Cut Card with Hand-Drawn Details

Cut the large wish die from cardstock and embellish with hand-drawn decorative details using black and white pens. The result is a fresh, modern card with an edgy feel suitable for teens or anyone who loves contemporary designs.

Step by step

1. Cut the wish die from coloured cardstock using your die-cutting machine. ▶ watch 13:45
2. Use a black pen to draw decorative details around the word, such as small circles or connecting lines forming patterns. ▶ watch 14:15
3. Add a frame or border around the wish die-cut using the black pen. ▶ watch 14:45
4. Use a white gel pen to add highlights around the edges and details of the wish. ▶ watch 15:15
5. Glue the finished wish die-cut onto your card base. ▶ watch 15:45
6. Add any additional embellishments or sentiments to complete the card. ▶ watch 16:15

Tips from the show

• Don't overthink where you place the pen details; just work intuitively around the edges.
• The white gel pen adds dimension and makes the design pop against darker backgrounds.
• This design works well for multiple occasions and age groups.
