Step by step

  1. Mist a piece of watercolour cardstock with water to keep the surface fluid for blending. ▶ watch 12:15
  2. Spray the intense pink pearlescent ink across the top of the damp cardstock with confident, strong colour application. ▶ watch 12:45
  3. Spray the black currant purple intense diamond ink across the bottom and middle sections, allowing the colours to blend naturally on the wet surface. ▶ watch 13:00
  4. Create a second background by pressing a fresh piece of cardstock onto the wet sprayed surface to take a print, maximising your spray usage. ▶ watch 13:30
  5. Once dry, stamp the mini mandala element from the dream catcher stamp set onto the background using white embossing ink. ▶ watch 15:45
  6. Add feather and bead elements from the A6 stamp set, tessellating them around the background to create supporting detail. ▶ watch 18:00
  7. Heat set all the white embossed images to bring them into sharp relief against the coloured background. ▶ watch 19:30
  8. Stamp the large dream catcher image from the A5 stamp set onto vellum using white embossing ink, positioning it centrally. ▶ watch 21:30
  9. Heat set the vellum embossing, which will set almost instantly due to the heat passing straight through the transparent material. ▶ watch 23:15
  10. Adhere the vellum overlay to the back of the sprayed card panel by applying glue to the top and bottom edges only, keeping the adhesive hidden. ▶ watch 26:15
  11. Apply washi tape down each side of the card panel to frame the design and secure the vellum edges decoratively. ▶ watch 27:45
  12. Add a stamped and embossed sentiment and embellish with silver enamel dots placed in a line to guide the eye across the design. ▶ watch 31:00
