Embossed Butterfly Card with Reverse Effect

Use the Kaleidoscope embossing folder with coloured collage papers to create butterflies with a reverse emboss effect, where the butterfly interior is coloured and the background is black.

You will need

Step by step

1. Select a coloured collage paper from the Life in Full Colour collection. ▶ watch 37:00
2. Run the coloured paper through the embossing machine with the Kaleidoscope embossing folder. ▶ watch 37:15
3. Ink both sides of the embossed paper with hybrid ink to create the reverse effect. ▶ watch 37:30
4. Mount the embossed paper onto black card stock so the coloured butterfly interiors stand out against the black background. ▶ watch 37:45

Tips from the show

• The 3D emboss creates a striking dimensional effect on both sides
