Watercolour Flower Card with Lamination Stamps

Create a realistic watercolour-effect card using a two-part lamination stamp system. The solid portion is inked with multiple colours and sprayed with water to create a blended watercolour effect, then the detail stamp is added to complete the painted look.

Step by step

  1. Ink the solid portion of the lamination stamp with multiple colours using distress ink pads or mini ink pads, applying pink, orange, green and other colours to different areas of the design. ▶ watch 19:15
  2. Spray the inked stamp with water from a spray bottle to activate the inks and create a puddle effect on the watercolour card. ▶ watch 20:00
  3. Push the stamp down firmly onto the watercolour card, then lift it away to reveal the watercolour effect. ▶ watch 20:30
  4. Dry the stamped image completely using a heat gun. ▶ watch 21:45
  5. Clean the solid stamp portion and place the detail stamp on its carrier sheet, then ink it with black ink. ▶ watch 22:30
  6. Stamp the detail portion over the dried watercolour image to add line work and definition. ▶ watch 23:00
  7. Mount the stamped panel onto a card base using foam pads to add dimension. ▶ watch 23:30
