Spring Morning Layered Card with Vellum Overlays

A textured, dimensional card using the Spring Morning green and yellow paper collection with printed vellums and coordinating stamps and dies. The layering system creates a high-end, tactile card design.

Step by step

1. Select papers from the Spring Morning 6x6 collection in green and yellow spring tones. ▶ watch 7:45
2. Layer the printed vellum sheets over the patterned papers to create depth and texture. ▶ watch 8:00
3. Stamp the spring morning design elements such as mason jars and florals onto your card base. ▶ watch 8:15
4. Use the coordinating dies to cut out the stamped elements cleanly without fussy cutting. ▶ watch 8:30
5. Add the matte layer elements to create additional dimension and visual interest. ▶ watch 8:45
6. Arrange the individual floral stamps and bird cage elements across your design. ▶ watch 9:00
7. Apply adhesive pads behind die-cut elements to lift them from the card base for dimension. ▶ watch 9:15
8. Consider colouring the stamped elements with pen, pencil or watercolour if desired for added personalisation. ▶ watch 9:30

Tips from the show

• The vellum overlays create a soft detail that makes you want to touch and smell the card.
• You can break down the design and use the stamp alone in black and white, or add colour with pen, pencil or watercolour.
• The navy undertones in both collections mean you can incorporate Midnight Blooms and Spring Morning together beautifully.
