Pick a page from the Holly & Berry (or alternative) paper pad and using the smallest die on the set that has embossing detail, die cut out the area you would like to see accentuated on the log slice. |
Die cut the remaining two log slice pieces from your chosen shape out of kraft card. Cut also your sentiment out of gold mirror card (Joy die set). |
Lightly blend Scorched Timber Oxide over your die cut image adding more pressure around the edges. |
Blend your kraft die cut pieces with oxide. I have used Walnut Stain for the smaller piece and Scorched Timber for the larger piece. I have also flicked some water over the larger piece and bleached out with paper towel and added a little white gesso around the very edge too. |
Glue all three log slice pieces together. |
Construct your card by lining up the log slice over the painted mount and adhering with glue. Add your sentiment and matt and layer onto a piece of Gold Mirror card ¼ inch larger than your painted mount. Finally adhere to your green card blank. |
