A project from our live show CREATE AND CRAFT TV - ONE DAY SPECIAL - Join Toni for her BRAND NEW EMBOSSING FOLDERS - SHOW 4 - broadcast 29TH MAY 23 · 05/29/2023 · watch it from 39:30

Create a striking patchwork cross card by embossing two identical pieces of cardstock together, then cutting them into quarters and reassembling them in a rotated pattern. This technique produces a symmetrical, dimensional cross with beautiful colour blocking.

Step by step

  1. Take two pieces of cardstock that are exactly the same size and stack them together, ensuring they are perfectly aligned. ▶ watch 39:45
  2. Run both pieces through your 3D embossing folder together to create the cross design on both pieces simultaneously. ▶ watch 40:15
  3. Remove the embossed cardstock and use a guillotine to cut diagonally from corner to corner, creating four triangular sections from each piece. ▶ watch 41:00
  4. Rotate the sections so that the embossed cross design is reassembled in a new configuration, creating a radial or patchwork effect. ▶ watch 41:30
