Spring Morning Green Card with Vellum Panel and Sentiment

Create an elegant celebration card featuring a soft floral design on a mint green base. This clean and simple project uses vellum overlay to create a subtle, sophisticated effect with the 'Let's Celebrate' sentiment. The technique showcases how layering vellum over patterned paper softens the design whilst maintaining visual interest.

You will need

Step by step

1. 

   Create a card base from green cardstock. Fold the card base in half to create a top-folding card.

   Position a white panel behind the vellum card front so it shows through, creating a backing that makes the floral design more visible.

3. 

   Place the vellum panel over the white floral panel, positioning it so the white background shows through the vellum. Press down gently to secure the vellum in place.

4. 

   Stamp the sentiment 'Let's Celebrate' onto the vellum panel at the top of the floral bouquet. Position the sentiment centrally above the white roses.

Tips from the show

• Vellum is so pretty that you may not want to hide it with additional elements—let it be the star of the design.
• A white panel behind vellum creates contrast and makes the design pop without overwhelming the delicate vellum pattern.
