Silhouette Scene Card with Masked Circle and Tree

Create a dramatic silhouette card by using a circular stencil as a mask to create a spotlight effect, then stamp a tree silhouette inside the circle to build depth and tell a visual story.

Step by step

1. Place your circular stencil on the card and hold it in place to act as a mask. ▶ watch 9:45
2. Stamp your tree design in black ink within the masked circle area to create a silhouette. ▶ watch 10:00
3. Remove the stencil mask to reveal the spotlight effect with the tree silhouette inside the circle. ▶ watch 10:15
4. If you're not happy with the result, remove the mask and stamp directly onto the card instead. ▶ watch 10:30

Tips from the show

• Using a stencil as a mask gives you options; you can experiment without fear because it's just a piece of card.
