Create an elegant monochromatic card featuring a delicate embossed design on smooth black cardstock. Using black ink and embossing powder, you'll achieve a subtle textured effect with dimensional detail that catches the light beautifully. The debossed reverse side reveals the intricate texture transfer, resulting in a sophisticated piece perfect for special occasions.
Select a smooth black cardstock for your project. Choose your embossing folder with the desired floral design.

Apply black ink to both sides of the embossing folder using a black ink pad. Ensure the raised design areas are well covered with ink.

Place the black cardstock into the embossing folder that has been inked with the white ink pad. Position the cardstock carefully to ensure it sits flat within the folder.

Run your prepared cardstock and embossing folder through your embossing machine to create the raised floral design on the black cardstock.

Turn the card over to examine the debossed side. The embossing folder creates an indentation that transfers the texture from the smooth black cardstock, creating a subtle textured pattern on the reverse side.

Optional: Lightly swipe a coordinating ink pad around the debossed edges of the design to add subtle highlights and enhance the embossed detail.
