Scratch and Reveal Holiday Card

An interactive card using the Fancy a Holiday scratch and reveal stamp set with stickers that conceal surprise messages. Recipients scratch off the metallic sticker to reveal a hidden sentiment, making it perfect for travel announcements or holiday surprises.

Step by step

1. Stamp the suitcase, camera, globe or passport image from the Fancy a Holiday stamp set onto your card base. ▶ watch 24:15
2. Stamp one of the surprise sentiments (such as 'Pack your bags' or 'We're going away') underneath or near the main image. ▶ watch 24:45
3. Write or stamp your specific destination or surprise message on the card where indicated. ▶ watch 25:30
4. Select a metallic sticker (gold circle, silver circle, gold panel or silver panel) from the 70 included stickers. ▶ watch 26:00
5. Position the sticker over your hidden message or sentiment to conceal it completely. ▶ watch 26:30
6. Press the sticker down firmly to secure it to the card. ▶ watch 27:00
7. Include a coin or nail with the card so the recipient can scratch away the sticker to reveal the surprise. ▶ watch 27:30

Tips from the show

• The plastic backing on the stickers protects your stamped sentiment from being distorted when scratched.
• You can write whatever you want under the stickers—use them for chores, movie choices, pocket money amounts or any interactive game.
• The stickers cross-pollinate between the Fancy a Holiday and Harvey and Friends collections, so you can mix and match designs.
