Create an elegant easel card featuring a beautiful gold-framed window showcasing romantic imagery from the Foreign Romance paper pad. This sophisticated design uses white embossed card as the base, with delicate gold accents and a small decorative window that reveals a charming scene. Perfect for weddings, anniversaries and special celebrations, this card combines classic embossing techniques with dimensional easel card construction.

Step by step

1. 

   Run the Invited embossing folder through your die-cutting machine with white card stock to create the embossed frame design.

2. 

   Run the Invited embossing folder through your die-cutting machine again, this time using gold glitter card stock to create a gold embossed panel.

3. 

   Carefully fussy-cut around the gilded frame from the gold glitter card. Cut out and remove the interior section to create an open frame effect.

4. 

   Cut a small window frame detail from the Foreign Romance paper pad. Position it over the gold glitter card and trim away the frame shape to create a window opening.

5. 

   Position the white embossed frame piece onto the white card panel. Place the gold glitter cardstock behind to create a mat layer for the easel card.

6. 

   Position the gold glitter frame on top of the white card panel. Press down firmly to adhere the frame in place.

7. 

   Adhere the small white paper window detail in the centre of the decorative easel frame.

8. 

   Add a sentiment on a washi tape tab to the side of the card. Position the tab near the bottom edge of the gold frame.

Tips from the show

• The Invited easel is an A6 size and works beautifully as a standalone card or can be incorporated into larger designs.
• You can paint or colour the embossed design, add waxes, or keep it clean and simple depending on your preference.
• The beauty of these embossing folders is that you have options—play around and have fun with different techniques.
