Magnolia Creator Card Kit - Six Card Compositions

Create six beautiful handmade cards using pre-cut card blanks, coordinating toppers, embellishments and tags from the Creator Card Kit. Each card features layered florals, birds, and foliage in soft watercolour-inspired designs that come together quickly without stamping or complex techniques.

Step by step

1. Select six different card blanks from the kit and lay them out in front of you. ▶ watch 48:00
2. Choose six coordinating toppers featuring different floral and bird designs from the kit's embellishment selection. ▶ watch 48:30
3. Place one topper onto each card blank, positioning it centrally or off-centre as desired. ▶ watch 49:00
4. Select complementary embellishments such as leaves, stems, smaller flowers and filler pieces from the kit. ▶ watch 50:15
5. Arrange the embellishments around and beneath the main topper to create a balanced floral composition. ▶ watch 51:00
6. Add dimensional elements by layering pieces to create depth, such as positioning a bird amongst the flowers. ▶ watch 52:30
7. Consider using the coordinating tags from the kit, tucking them into the arrangement or positioning them to frame the design. ▶ watch 54:00
8. Build each card to your preference, using as many or as few embellishments as you like from the generous selection provided. ▶ watch 55:00
9. For variation, try folding a tag in half and positioning it to create a shaped element within the design. ▶ watch 56:30
10. Step back and review each finished card composition, adjusting any elements until you are satisfied with the balance and appearance. ▶ watch 57:30

Tips from the show

• Don't stick anything down permanently at first - place elements and move them around until you're happy with the composition, then secure.
• You can cut toppers in half and use them as layered elements or shelf-like features with dimensional pads for added depth.
• The kit contains over 156 pieces, so you don't need to be tight with embellishments - use generously to create full, beautiful designs.
