Decorated Mini Album Cover

Decorate the front cover of a mini album using patterned paper, die-cut elements, and 3D embellishments. This project shows how to create an attractive gift-ready album by layering papers and adding dimensional details.

Step by step

1. Select a white, craft, or black mini album as your base. ▶ watch 18:30
2. Choose a patterned paper from the collection and cut it to fit the front cover. ▶ watch 18:45
3. Glue the patterned paper to the front of the album. ▶ watch 18:45
4. Die-cut a butterfly element and 3D it by adding foam pads or layering. ▶ watch 19:00
5. Cut away one of the decorative mounts from the ephemera pack. ▶ watch 19:15
6. Arrange and glue the die-cut butterfly and mount elements onto the cover. ▶ watch 19:30
7. Add additional embellishments such as fussy-cut elements or sparkle to complete the design. ▶ watch 19:45

Tips from the show

• The ribbon closure on the album adds a professional finishing touch.
• You can decorate the inside pages of the album as well as the cover.
• Whatever design you apply to an album cover can also be adapted for a card.
