Paper Pieced Fashion Illustration Cards with Stamped Girls

Create three stylish greeting cards featuring stamped fashion illustrations with coordinating paper-pieced clothing details. The design combines black stamped figures with patterned paper elements to create a fashionable, layered effect with dimension and visual interest.

Step by step

  1. Cut three panels from the craft coloured card blanks, all the same size, to create three separate card designs. ▶ watch 17:45
  2. Stamp one of the three girls from the Imala bundle onto each panel in black ink, positioning them at the same head height. ▶ watch 18:00
  3. Select a patterned paper from the Spring Bloom paper pad with small, delicate designs to use for paper piecing. ▶ watch 21:30
  4. Cut a small piece of patterned paper to create a skirt for the first girl, then stamp the skirt outline in black onto the paper. ▶ watch 22:00
  5. Cut away the stamped skirt piece carefully and adhere it over the girl's lower body to create the paper-pieced effect. ▶ watch 24:00
  6. Repeat the process for the second girl by cutting and stamping a jacket piece from the patterned paper, following the jacket outline carefully. ▶ watch 24:15
  7. For the third girl, cut and stamp a trouser piece from a floral section of the patterned paper. ▶ watch 25:30
  8. Create three matted layers using the patterned paper breaker from the Spring Bloom pad as the middle layer. ▶ watch 30:30
  9. Add ink blending around the edges of the patterned paper layers using brown ink and a brush to create depth and dimension. ▶ watch 33:45
  10. Adhere the stamped and paper-pieced girl panels onto the matted layers using tape or glue. ▶ watch 39:30
  11. Mount the completed designs onto the craft coloured card blanks to finish the cards. ▶ watch 40:15
