Step by step

  1. Die-cut the wooden crate from craft card using your die-cutting machine, running it through twice for better emboss detail. ▶ watch 21:30
  2. Line up layering stencil number one with the edge of your card to keep it straight, then ink through with your first colour choice. ▶ watch 23:00
  3. Layer stencil number two on top, aligning with the edge, and ink with a second colour, pressing firmly for good coverage. ▶ watch 24:30
  4. Continue layering stencils three through six, varying your ink colours between yellow, pink, purple and green to create a multi-coloured pansy effect. ▶ watch 26:00
  5. Add dimension to the flower centres by inking the final stencil layer with a darker shade, such as black or dark green. ▶ watch 28:30
  6. Blend a lighter teal shade into the green leaves to soften the appearance and create a more natural look. ▶ watch 30:00
  7. Distress the wooden crate die-cut by gently applying heather or black ink to the edges and grooves to add weathered detail. ▶ watch 34:00
  8. Die-cut all your inked pansy layers using the coordinating tub dies to create individual flower shapes. ▶ watch 39:00
  9. Layer your die-cut flowers with 3D pads, building them at different heights to create dimension within the cluster. ▶ watch 44:15
  10. Arrange your layered pansies within the wooden crate, positioning them to create a natural, clustered bouquet effect. ▶ watch 45:30
