A project from our live show CATCH UP with Toni for a THURSDAY LAUNCH in the HTCN studio broadcast 18th Nov 21 Show Two · 11/18/2021
Decorate a plain envelope with a modern, abstract watercolour design using the two-part lamination stamp. The design looks like it's been blown with a straw, creating a contemporary, artistic look perfect for coordinating with a matching card.
Mask off one corner of your envelope using low-tack tape.
Apply purple ink to your blending brush and create a shaded corner on the envelope.
Apply teal and blue inks to your ink pads.
Stamp the solid portion of the abstract design in the bottom corner of the envelope.
Add touches of purple ink to the design for colour variation.
Spray the inked area lightly with water.
Stamp the solid portion again to create the bleed and watercolour effect.
Allow the envelope to dry.
Stamp the black outline portion over the coloured design to define the abstract shapes.
Optional: add a wiggly line border using a black fine liner to frame the design.
Optional: add white sparkle or highlights to enhance the design further.
Share your make with the Stamps By Me community - and keep this guide for next time.
