A project from our live show CATCH UP with PEARLYWINKS CREATIVE STENCILS LAUNCH in the HTCN studio broadcast 21st Jan 22 · 01/21/2022
Simon demonstrates how to use the Stamp A Ring stencil to create a perfectly symmetrical circular wreath pattern. By rotating the card and stamping at alternating positions, you build a beautiful ring of small floral elements that would be impossible to achieve freehand.
Cut your card to just under 5 inches square and slot it into the centre of the stamp ring stencil.
Ink up your small floral stamp and align it between the top point of the stencil so it stays centred as you rotate.
Stamp the first position, then turn the card one quarter turn to the next corner position.
For smaller stamps, stamp every single position; for larger stamps, skip every other position to avoid overlapping.
Continue rotating and stamping around the entire ring until you return to the starting point.
Once you complete the outer ring, you can fill in the gaps by rotating the card to intermediate positions if desired.
Mount the finished background onto contrasting card stock to complete the design.
Share your make with the Stamps By Me community - and keep this guide for next time.
