A project from our live show Join Simon from AVAGO-INK for a fun show with fantastic demo's broadcast Monday 14th Feb · 02/14/2022
A serene landscape card featuring embossed trees created using a resist technique with white embossing powder. The card showcases a beautiful gradient of colours blending from blue sky through green foliage to create a mystical, dreamy effect with subtle depth.
Cut out a textured cardstock panel for your background base.
Stamp a tree image onto the panel using an embossing ink pad, positioning it towards the top of the card.
Rub the stamped area with an anti-static bag to remove any dust.
Apply white embossing powder generously over the stamped tree, ensuring full coverage.
Tap off excess powder back into the container.
Flip the card and repeat the stamping and embossing process on the opposite side to create a mirror image.
Use a heat gun to activate and set the white embossing powder until it's fully glossy.
Apply ink pad colours to the panel, starting with lighter green tones where the tree foliage would be, blending from the edges inward.
Add darker green ink to create depth and variation in the foliage areas.
Blend blue ink from the centre point upwards to create a sky effect, softening the colour transitions.
Mount the coloured panel onto a glitter card base using wet glue, creating a border around all edges.
Stamp a sentiment onto a separate white panel using embossing ink and white embossing powder.
Create masking templates from card to protect the owl and sentiment areas during stamping.
Stamp the tree pattern onto the sentiment panel, using sticky notes to mask off protected areas.
Heat set the embossed trees on the sentiment panel.
Apply the same colour blending technique to the sentiment panel, concentrating colour over the text and owl to make them pop.
