Step by step

1. Gather your invisible ink paper pad and locate the sepia-toned guide printed on the back of the paper. ▶ watch 14:00

3. Pour dye-based coloured ink pads onto a palette or use watercolour paints from your collection. ▶ watch 14:30
4. Pick up water with your brush and blend it with the pale pink ink to create a workable paint consistency. ▶ watch 15:00
5. Follow the sepia guide underneath and paint the first flower head with the pink colour, working around the shape. ▶ watch 15:15
6. Paint additional flower heads with the same pink colour, following the guide to maintain perspective and shading. ▶ watch 15:30
7. Switch to a teal or green colour and paint the leaves, applying full overlay coverage to create light and shade effects. ▶ watch 17:15
8. Allow the painted design to dry completely, then cut the paper down the centre if there are two corner designs on one sheet. ▶ watch 18:30

10. Stamp a sentiment from the collection onto the card using black ink, positioning it through or below the artwork. ▶ watch 20:30

Tips from the show

• You don't have to be perfect or precise with your painting; you can be abstract and add splats creatively.
• Once you've painted one design, you'll gain confidence to experiment with your own colour choices rather than following the guide colours.
• If you're making cards for a specific event like a wedding, you can match the painted colours to the event's colour scheme.
