Create a striking card by heat-embossing a floral stamp in white onto multiple coloured cardstock pieces, then cutting them into strips and layering them to create a rainbow effect. The repeated pattern aligns perfectly to create a continuous design across the card front.
Prepare a black top-folding note card as your base and a black matte layer to fit inside it.
Cut several pieces of coloured cardstock (approximately 4 colours plus black) all to exactly the same size.
Use an anti-static bag and ink up your floral stamp with sticky ink pad.
Stamp the image onto the first coloured piece (black), positioning it slightly off-centre.
Sprinkle white embossing powder over the wet ink and tap off the excess.
Heat-set the embossed image with a heat gun until the powder melts and sets.
Repeat the stamping, powdering and heat-setting process on each of the remaining coloured cardstock pieces, keeping the stamp in the same position each time.
Using a guillotine, cut all the stamped pieces into strips of approximately 1 to 1.5 centimetres wide, cutting only through the image area.
Arrange the strips on your black base card, matching up the floral design so it flows continuously across the card.
Glue each strip down in sequence, ensuring they are as straight as possible.
Add a washi tape sentiment strip across the lower portion of the card.
Share your make with the Stamps By Me community - and keep this guide for next time.
