Coordinated Mini Memory Album with Interactive Pockets

Create a small coordinated memory album using pre-cut pieces from the album kit. This interactive album features fold-out pockets, decorative panels with birds and toppers, and a ribbon closure, designed to complement a coordinating gift box and card for a complete festive gift set.

Step by step

1. Pop out the pre-cut album pieces from the kit, including the cover, pages, pockets, and decorative toppers. ▶ watch 33:30
2. Score the album cover along the printed score lines using a scoring tool. ▶ watch 36:00
3. Create a pocket by gluing two sides of a pre-cut piece, leaving the hinge free for the album binding. ▶ watch 36:30
4. Punch a circle in the pocket using a circle punch to create a finger hole for opening. ▶ watch 41:00
5. Glue the pocket piece onto the album page, positioning it to create an interactive fold-out element. ▶ watch 42:00
6. Score and fold the hinge pages along the printed lines to create the album's spine structure. ▶ watch 43:00
7. Glue decorative bird and nature toppers onto the album pages in your chosen positions. ▶ watch 45:00
8. Trim a bookmark-style piece to fit inside the pocket, cutting approximately one inch from the bottom. ▶ watch 53:00
9. Glue the bookmark piece into the pocket. ▶ watch 54:30
10. Wrap coordinating ribbon around the album lengthways and tie a bow to finish. ▶ watch 56:00

Tips from the show

• You don't have to make these into albums—use them smartly as cards with pockets, gift wallets, or bookmarks instead.
• Don't worry about the white backs of the pages; you can stick decorative pieces on the reverse side to make them look double-sided if desired.
• Plan and prep your design first so you know where your pieces are going and can hide your hinges properly.
