Heat Embossed Sentiment Card with Wreath Corner Embellishment

A simple card featuring a heat-embossed sentiment that makes the design stand out beautifully. The card uses a wreath stamp cut in half to create corner embellishments, layered with a sunflower element for added colour and dimension.

Step by step

1. Heat emboss the sentiment onto your card stock using embossing powder and a heat gun to make it stand out. ▶ watch 0:15
2. Stamp the wreath design in black ink and cut it out twice using the coordinating die. ▶ watch 2:15
3. Cut each wreath in half so you can use them as corner embellishments rather than full circles. ▶ watch 2:30
4. Layer a black card blank with glitter card, then white card on top to create your base. ▶ watch 4:00
5. Adhere the two half-wreath pieces to opposite corners of your card using glue or foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 4:15
6. Stamp and cut out a sunflower head from the coordinating collection. ▶ watch 6:00
7. Adhere the sunflower to the card to tie in with the wreath design and add colour. ▶ watch 6:15

Tips from the show

• When using dies to cut stamped images, you get a crisp white line around the edge that makes designs look professional.
• You don't have to use stamp and die sets as intended—cut circles in half to create corner embellishments instead of full wreaths.
• Mix components from different collections together to create unique designs.
