Psychedelic Layered Rose on White Card

Create a vibrant, multi-coloured rose using the Rose Branch layering stencil system. This technique produces a bold, artistic flower with unexpected colour combinations that looks striking and contemporary.

You will need

Step by step

  1. Gather your Rose Branch stencil set (numbered 1-5) and a piece of white card stock. ▶ watch 17:30
  2. Line up stencil number one at the edge of your card stock, using the hearts as guides if needed. ▶ watch 18:15
  3. Ink through stencil number one with your first colour—for this psychedelic version, use yellow ink pad and tap the colour onto the stencil. ▶ watch 19:15
  4. Remove the stencil and position stencil number two on top. Ink through with a contrasting colour such as pink. ▶ watch 20:15
  5. Continue with stencil number three, applying purple ink to add another layer of colour. ▶ watch 21:15
  6. Apply stencil number four (the leaves) and ink through with green, pressing firmly to build depth. ▶ watch 22:00
  7. For the final layer, apply stencil number five and ink through with your chosen colour, pressing harder to create definition. ▶ watch 22:45
  8. Once dry, optionally spray the card lightly with water and flick metallic paint onto the design for an artistic effect. ▶ watch 24:00
  9. Add a sentiment or washi tape to complete your card. ▶ watch 24:15
