Boo Buddies Freestanding Gnome Card in Christmas Colours

A charming freestanding gnome card made using the Boo Buddies layering dies in red and green to create a Christmas-themed version. The card demonstrates how the Halloween kit can be repurposed for other seasons.

Step by step

1. Cut the gnome outline die twice from red card to create the front and back of the freestanding card. ▶ watch 1:09:15
2. Cut the gnome's beard detail from white card. ▶ watch 1:10:00
3. Cut the gnome's hat belt detail from green card. ▶ watch 1:10:30
4. Blend a very light grey ink around the white beard and hat belt to add subtle shading and dimension. ▶ watch 1:12:00
5. Assemble the gnome by layering the beard and hat belt details onto the red outline. ▶ watch 1:13:00
6. Score and fold the two red outline pieces in half to create the freestanding structure. ▶ watch 1:18:30
7. Glue the two halves together at the fold, ensuring they are flush and aligned. ▶ watch 1:19:00
8. Attach a ribbon bow to the back of the card for decoration. ▶ watch 1:20:00

Tips from the show

• Use very minimal ink on your blending brush to add subtle shading without overpowering the design.
• The gnome kit works beautifully in Christmas colours, making it versatile beyond Halloween.
• Score at the back of the freestanding card if you prefer a crisp fold.
