Watercolour Bloom Layered Flowers with Die-Cut

Create beautiful watercolour-style layered blooms using the WOW Blooms stamp and die set. This project demonstrates the four-layer stamping system that builds up realistic flowers in just five simple steps with coordinating die-cuts.

Step by step

1. Stamp the first layer (numbered 1) onto white cardstock using pink ink, lining up the heart registration marks in the corner. ▶ watch 36:15
2. Apply the second stencil layer with a different colour, such as purple, ensuring the heart marks align perfectly. ▶ watch 37:00
3. Add the third layer with green ink, building up the foliage and flower centres. ▶ watch 37:45
4. Apply the fourth and final layer with yellow ink in the flower centres for depth and detail. ▶ watch 38:30
5. Place the coordinating die over the stamped design and run through your die-cutting machine in one pass to cut all layers together. ▶ watch 39:00
6. Pop out the die-cut bloom from the carrier sheet. ▶ watch 39:30
7. Adhere the finished bloom to your card base using double-sided tape or foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 40:00

Tips from the show

• Line up the heart registration system on each layer; the rest of the design will look after itself.
• You can batch-make these by stamping all layer ones on multiple cards, then all layer twos, and so on for efficiency.
• If you only have one shade of green, start light and press harder on each subsequent layer to create depth.
