3. Align stencil number two using the heart registration marks as guides, matching it to your first layer. ▶ watch 13:30
4. Apply a darker green ink through stencil two, pressing slightly harder to create dimension. ▶ watch 14:00
5. Position stencil number three and apply a contrasting colour such as pink through the floral elements. ▶ watch 14:30
6. Layer stencil number four and apply green ink to complete the wreath frame. ▶ watch 15:00

Tips from the show

• If you only have a few ink pads, use just one or two colours and vary the pressure when applying each stencil layer to create the illusion of multiple tones.
• You can revisit earlier stencil layers to add extra dimension at any point in the process.
• The one-millimetre border around the frame gives you scope if your alignment isn't perfect.
