White on White Embossed Card with Mounted Topper

A clean, elegant card using white cardstock with the embossing folder to create subtle embossed detail. A decorative paper topper is mounted behind the embossed frame window, creating a sophisticated layered effect with minimal colour.

You will need

Step by step

1. Run white cardstock through the embossing folder with the die at the front. ▶ watch 21:00
2. Remove the embossed and cut piece to reveal the white-on-white embossed frame. ▶ watch 21:15
3. Select one of the decorative paper toppers that coordinates with your embossing folder design. ▶ watch 21:30
4. For rectangular toppers, position and glue the topper behind the embossed frame window. ▶ watch 21:45
5. For square toppers, twist the topper to fit diagonally behind the square aperture if needed. ▶ watch 22:00
6. Adhere the complete embossed frame piece with mounted topper onto your card base. ▶ watch 22:15
7. The embossed detail and mounted topper create the finished card without additional embellishment needed. ▶ watch 22:30

Tips from the show

• White on white is stunning in its simplicity; the embossed detail and topper do all the talking.
• The toppers are heavyweight paper, making them perfect for creating pockets in scrapbooks or as bookmarks.
• You can paint or watercolour the embossed detail if you prefer added colour.
