How To Guide - Step 1

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/2 x 6 1/2".

Swipe each coloured ink pad, one at a time, on to your glass mat.

Lightly spritz the ink with water then "smoosh" your card into the ink. Dry each colour before adding the next colour, to prevent any "muddy" colours forming. You want the colours to be bright and vibrant.

You can splatter your inky background with drops of water before mopping up the excess with a paper towel. This leaves you with a lovely distressed effect.

How To Guide - Step 2

Apply a strip of masking tape across the "reflective" element of your stamp. You only want the solid image for this particular card.

How To Guide - Step 3

Ink the exposed stamp with the Midnight ink, remembering to REMOVE the masking tape BEFORE you stamp!!

How To Guide - Step 4

Stamp the skyline in the top third of your inked background.

How To Guide - Step 5

Ink up the firework stamp in Midnight and stamp above your buildings.

How To Guide - Step 6

Cut two of these dies, one from black card and one from yellow card.

How To Guide - Step 7

Glue the yellow die-cut element behind the black, dropping it down slightly and to the right. This gives you a drop-shadow.

Adhere this along the bottom of your inky card.

How To Guide - Step 8

I used a black pen to emphasise the water line under your stamped skyline. This is optional.

How To Guide - Step 9

Stamp your sentiment in Midnight, where preferred.

How To Guide - Step 10

Adhere your artwork onto black cardstock cut to 4 3/4 x 6 3/4" and then onto your 5 x7" white card blank.
