A project from our live show CATCH UP with the Create Together Club - Inspiration Video 1 for Stamp A NOTE TO SAY - SHOW 25th Oct 21 · 10/25/2021
A striking black and white card featuring a distressed typewriter stamp design created using a water spray and ink blending technique. The layered stamping creates a blurred, burnished effect that brings depth and texture to a simple monochromatic design.
Take a piece of white cardstock and spray it lightly with water.
Stamp the typewriter image onto the wet cardstock using black oxide ink, allowing the ink to bleed slightly into the water.
Mop up excess water with tissue and dry the card with a heat gun.
Stamp the same typewriter image again in true black ink on top of the blurred design to bring back detail and definition.
Dry the card completely with your heat gun.
Blend black ink around the edges of the cardstock using a blending brush to soften the harsh white border.
Mount the stamped white panel onto a piece of black cardstock.
Stamp additional textured elements such as butterflies and circles from the stamp set onto the card in black ink.
Add a sentiment from your washi tape collection to complete the card.
Mount the finished card onto a seven by seven card base.
