Envelope and Letter Detail Card with Sentiment

A creative card combining hand-drawn envelope designs on coloured cardstock squares with stamped letter details and sentiment text. The layered composition creates visual interest with a postal theme.

Step by step

1. Cut small squares from cardstock offcuts to use as your base elements. ▶ watch 9:30
2. Ink up the jumbled letter stamp with a blackish ink pad. ▶ watch 10:00
3. Randomly stamp the letter detail onto your cardstock squares. ▶ watch 10:15
4. Using a fine-line pen, hand-draw square envelope designs on some of the squares, adding a flap line across the top. ▶ watch 10:30
5. Draw rectangular envelope designs on other squares in the same manner. ▶ watch 11:00
6. Use a blending brush to add ink colour to the edges of the envelopes for dimension. ▶ watch 11:30
7. Adhere the craft-coloured card base to your card blank. ▶ watch 12:00
8. Arrange and glue the envelope squares onto the card base. ▶ watch 12:30
9. Add sentiment text elements such as 'Have a great day' and 'Thank you friend' to complete the design. ▶ watch 15:00
10. Leave the card without sparkles to maintain a balanced masculine and feminine aesthetic. ▶ watch 16:00

Tips from the show

• This design works well on patterned paper such as striped or polka dot paper.
• You can batch make this card design as it is straightforward to replicate.
