A project from our live show Stamping Techniques - Lamination Stamp - Realistic Watercolour - Clean and Simple 22ND Dec 21 · 12/22/2021
Create a realistic watercolour poppy card using lamination stamps with a two-layer technique. The solid portion creates the watercoloured effect, whilst the outline stamp adds detailed sketchy linework to produce an artistic, professional-looking design.
Start with white cardstock as your base.
Select the solid portion stamp from your lamination stamp set and choose an orangey-red ink colour.
Spray the stamp with water to create a fluid, watercoloured effect before stamping.
Press the solid portion stamp firmly onto your cardstock to create the watercoloured base with spatters and two-tone effects.
Clean the stamp and select black ink for the detail portion of your lamination stamp set.
Carefully align and stamp the sketchy outline portion over your watercoloured base to add detail and definition.
Using a brush, add additional splats with the orangey-red colour to enhance the artistic appearance of the design.
Dry the stamped artwork completely.
Glue the dried artwork onto a folding note card using flat matte adhesive.
Stamp a large, bold word onto white cardstock using black ink.
Position the stamped word banner across the base of your card as a finishing touch.
