A project from our live show Join Toni LIVE in the HTCN Studio broadcast Wednesday 9th Feb 22 · 02/09/2022
Create a beautiful die-cut embellishment with a distressed foil finish using heat-set bonding powder and metallic foils. This technique produces a mottled, textured effect that looks stunning on card designs.
Cut a piece of white cardstock using the die-cut machine with the 'Something Wonderful' die.
Stamp the die-cut shape onto white cardstock using the sticky ink pad from the WOW starter kit.
Sprinkle the bonding powder from the foil bundle over the stamped image.
Heat-set the bonding powder using the heat tool on a low setting until it becomes shiny and tacky.
Cut a piece of foil (copper or pink) from the foil bundle to size.
Press the foil firmly onto the tacky bonding powder, burnishing with your finger to ensure good contact.
Peel away the foil carrier sheet to reveal the foiled die-cut with a distressed, mottled finish.
For enhanced coverage, reactivate the bonding powder with the heat tool and apply a second piece of foil if desired.
