Step by step

  1. Cut two pieces of cardstock (one pink, one white) to exactly the same size for your slimline card base. ▶ watch 19:45
  2. Position the large floral background stamp in the corner of the pink cardstock and stamp using a sticky ink pad. ▶ watch 20:15
  3. Apply clear embossing powder to the stamped image and heat set with an embossing gun until the powder melts and becomes glossy. ▶ watch 21:30
  4. Stamp the same floral design in the same corner position on the white cardstock using a sticky ink pad. ▶ watch 25:15
  5. Apply gold embossing powder to this stamped image and heat set with an embossing gun. ▶ watch 26:30
  6. Use nesting circle dies to cut out circles from the pink cardstock, creating a pattern with some circles cut out and others left as solid areas. ▶ watch 31:00
  7. Tape down the die positions on the pink cardstock to prevent the dies from shifting during cutting. ▶ watch 33:30
  8. Run the taped cardstock through your die-cutting machine to cut out the nesting circles. ▶ watch 33:45
  9. Layer the cut pink piece on top of the gold-embossed white piece, aligning the designs so the gold embossing shows through the die-cut circles. ▶ watch 34:30
  10. Apply 3D foam pads to the back of the die-cut piece, using multiple pads and cutting some in half to support delicate details and prevent sinking. ▶ watch 35:00
  11. Add a washi tape strip along one edge of the card and attach a sentiment using foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 39:30
