Create an elegant slimline card featuring a large tropical floral background stamp with clear and gold embossing on layered cardstock. The design uses nesting circle dies to create a spotlight effect, with the die-cut pieces layered with 3D pads to add dimension and showcase the matching embossed pattern beneath.
Cut two pieces of cardstock (one pink, one white) to exactly the same size for your slimline card base.
Position the large floral background stamp in the corner of the pink cardstock and stamp using a sticky ink pad.
Apply clear embossing powder to the stamped image and heat set with an embossing gun until the powder melts and becomes glossy.
Stamp the same floral design in the same corner position on the white cardstock using a sticky ink pad.
Apply gold embossing powder to this stamped image and heat set with an embossing gun.
Use nesting circle dies to cut out circles from the pink cardstock, creating a pattern with some circles cut out and others left as solid areas.
Tape down the die positions on the pink cardstock to prevent the dies from shifting during cutting.
Run the taped cardstock through your die-cutting machine to cut out the nesting circles.
Layer the cut pink piece on top of the gold-embossed white piece, aligning the designs so the gold embossing shows through the die-cut circles.
Apply 3D foam pads to the back of the die-cut piece, using multiple pads and cutting some in half to support delicate details and prevent sinking.
Add a washi tape strip along one edge of the card and attach a sentiment using foam pads for dimension.
